Cohort 1 — 67 applications. 15 founders selected.
Cohort 2 — 79 applications. 23 founders selected.
Cohort 3 — applications now open.
Previous cohorts filled within 72 hours of opening.
In reviewing applications, we look at three things: how long you've been living with this problem, what you've done with that attention, and what you see in your field that others aren't saying.
We're not looking for the best pitch. We're looking for the founder for whom not building this would be stranger than building it.
No technical background. No team. No prior funding. No finished idea. What we're looking for can't be listed on a resume.
SoulTech cohorts have included product designers, logistics analysts, AI researchers, former academics, and operators. Most arrived without a product. All arrived with years of watching something fail the way only an insider can watch.
The question we ask isn't 'what is your idea'. It's: what have you been noticing for years that others in your field take for granted? What would you fix if you had the resources? What do you understand about this problem that most people don't — and why do you understand it?
